The 3 Worst Sonic Games
Even though Sonic the Hedgehog is admired and looked up to by many fans because of the excellent games that came out, there are a bunch of games that should have never seen the daylight. Most of them are so bad that they will make you cringe if you have ever played them. Let's take a look at the worse sonic games.
Sonic Labyrinth
This is a handheld game that appeared on the game gear. The bad features of this game are that first of all Sonic walks really slowly. It was a big mistake to have Sonic walk in this game. The first thing you think about when somebody mentions the blue hero is speed. The only way to move fast is to use the spin dash.
The object of the game is to collect keys to exit the stage. If you get hit while you have the keys, they will scatter all around. Now you have to collect all them again.
The game features pretty bland stages. The different levels have different colored stages, but it is still uninspiring and does not stand out. The music could have been worked on a little better to.
Sonic Drift
This games also appeared on the handheld Sega made. Sonic drift is a racing game that is very fast. This is the first racing game that features the famous characters from Sonic the hedgehog. Take a guess who they copied?
The game misses that fun factor that is available in Mario Kart. Remember how you used to play Mario Kart with your friends and tried to beat them by collecting the necessary items. That was fun and fun is something this game is lacking, because it is too boring.
Sonic Shuffle
This is a game that did not appear on a handheld. You might think that this one would be better, but that is not the case. The biggest problem with this Dreamcast game is that it feels like it is dragging you through an uninspiring set of mini games. The game is boring, but atleast the graphics are pretty good
The game basically consists of you playing a board game to reach precious stones. Depending on which spot you land a mini game might be triggered. The game features many mini games, but most of them are not fun.
Looking at these games you will notice that Sega made a couple of mistakes, you cannot blame them because they were experimenting with the franchise and tried new and different things, but that does not mean that you should not stay away from these horrible games.
If you want to test these games out yourself, go ahead and rent them. Do not buy these games, because chances are high that you will bring them back to the store. Or if a friend has them, try to borrow it from him or her. Your friend probably will not care if you keep it and will be more than happy to get rid of it. Just play the classics and you will be fine.
Skip the bad games and play some great sonic games or super sonic hedgehog today.
