Creating Energy: How To Build Solar Panels In Your Own Home

The day has arrived when you have to think about how to build solar panels in your own home to save energy bills and therefore precious money and do your little bit for saving the environment.

You will need half a square foot of copper flashing sheet, an electric hot plate, a bottle with a big opening, a receptive micro-ammeter, some table spoons of salt, water, sand paper, metallic shears and two alligator clip leads.

One does not need more than half square foot copper flashing sheet, an electrical food heater, one container with a large opening, one efficient micro-ammeter, salt, water, sand paper, shears to cut metal and finally two clip leads.

First thing, wash hands to keep clean and dry. Cut a piece of the copper sheeting to the size of the diameter of the electric stove. Now, wash copper sheet with soap to rid it of any oil. With sand paper, clean the sheet really well.

Meanwhile, get the stove started and raise temperature to high. Place the copper sheet on top of it. You will see the sheet changing colors from orange to purple to red and then pink; once it heats further, the colors will go and now the sheet will go dark. Roast the sheet for about half hour.

Upon completion of this process, the sheet has to be cooled off at room temperature. You will notice that it is reducing in size as it gets to a normal temperature. It is during this process one see the accumulation of the dry bits of chemicals on the sheet.

Run water over it from a running tap after it cools down. This will wash off the flakes but ensure you do this really gently and do not erode this SOLAR PANEL created by you.

Now, attach your clip leads, one to the new copper plate, and one to the COOKED one. The clean sheet should be attached to the positive side of the meter and the cooked one to the negative.

Now, attach the leads. The second sheet should be wired to the positive area of the meter and the first one must be clipped to the negative one. In hot water, put in a good number of tablespoons of salt and mix thoroughly. This concoction has to be poured into the bottle ensuring that the sheets are not submerged up to an inch from top. This is your home manufactured solar panel!

The cell produces 50 micro amps at 0.25 volts. Do not expect to light bulbs to light or charge batteries with this device. It can be used as a light detector or light meter and it would take acres of them to power your house which would be very expensive.

Green DIY Energy Gives Instructions On Building Renewable Energy Resources

Green renewable energy helps people to save money as well as the environment. It is possible to create your own tools for harnessing that energy. What Green DIY Energy does is to provide instructions on some methods of building those tools.

By building solar panels and/or wind turbines, you can use them to supply at least part of the electrical needs in your home. Doing so will also allow you to purchase less from your local utility company. It also allows you to add value to your home as it is considered a home improvement.

This particular instruction manual was written so that the average person with no particular handyman skill should be able to construct a solar panel. Included are schematics, diagrams, illustrations, pictures and videos to take you through the process. A technical support center is also available for further questions.

The manual takes you through the entire process of building a 60-120 watt solar panel and using it to supply at least part of the energy needs of your home. There are also instructions on how to put more than one solar panel together to enable you to harness and store even more power.

You also learn how to construct the solar panels for the least amount of money. Installation and storage of energy is also covered. In addition, you will find out about the permits that are necessary for the panels and about potential tax incentives from using green energy.

The harnessing of wind energy is also covered in the instructions. They go over the buying and building of wind turbines. The entire construction process is detailed with diagrams and pictures as well.

You will not be able to supply all the power your home needs by building wind turbines or solar panels. You may not even see a change in your energy bill right away. It is just one way you can start to do so.

This is only one of many instruction manuals available for building solar panels. However, the videos supplied do differentiate this package from some of the others out there. This is one place that you can get more information on building renewable resources. If you give it a try and are not happy with it, the company offers a money back guarantee within 60 days after purchase.

It is easy to build your solar panels if you know what you're doing. Many people try and fail, but with the Green DIY Energy Guide, you will learn the easy way how to build solar panels.

Green DIY Energy Overview For Cost-Conscious Conservationists

Green DIY Energy not only saves money but helps the environment. By using green energy, carbon dioxide emissions are reduced, therefore helping in the fight against global warming. The main types of green energy that are used by consumers are solar and wind-powered.

Green energy saves homeowners a lot of money by reducing monthly energy bills. State and federal government also provide rebates and tax incentives for using these types of power. DIY kits for solar panel or wind turbine installation can save the homeowner even more money by not having to pay for professional installation.

Homeowners should carefully choose their Green DIY Energy kit. Instructions can be intimidating for people without much home improvement experience. However, many kits are very good, and provide detailed installation explanation. Do it yourself installation further increases energy savings.

The easiest kits to use are those that are dedicated to a specific use, like heating a backyard pool. A kit is also most useful if it is modular, which means that another kit can be easily added on to increase energy capacity as needed. A solar kit should be able to operate on its own, and not need to be connected to the home's existing electrical system or plumbing. Kits should have easy instructions, clear diagrams, and come with all needed parts. It should provide an alternative plan when there is minimal or no energy available. In other words, it should be able to change the household's energy consumption to conventional electricity when its own green energy source is not available.

The main type of Green DIY power is produced by solar panels. These are large panels that have many smaller plates that collect light from the sun and change it into energy. One thing to consider in deciding to purchase a solar panel DIY kit, is the amount of sunlight in the area. Solar panels work on the amount of available light, not heat. During winter, with shorter days and frequent overcast skies, solar panels will not collect as much energy. However when there is a lot of sunshine, extra power generated by solar goes back to the grid and runs the electrical meter backward. This saves the homeowner money.

Wind power is another popular form of green energy. Wind turbines change the wind's kinetic energy to power compatible with a home's electrical system. It is also connected to the power grid, and on days when an excess of wind power is produced, it is sold back to the electrical utility.

Green DIY energy is rapidly becoming more popular. A huge amount of resources exists, in the form of general information to DIY kits. Homeowners should carefully select the right DIY kit for them, however most are relatively simple. Not only does this green energy help to combat global warming by helping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, consumers can experience substantial savings off their energy bills.
