Introductory Computer Help – IT Training
Agreeably there's no denying it - No matter how innovative or how well maintained our computers are, we all come across computer problems sooner or later on. The enjoyable news is that we don't have to face them single-handedly.
The good news is that the user such as yourself and I, have many different help options at our disposal, the hard part is finding these resources, this IT training help article should help you out.
1. Keep in mind help files. It's funny, but people seem to forget that every central processing unit and every program installed on a computer comes with its own help file. Even the operating system of a computer has a help file and it in fact should be the first location to look for answers.
These files are created by the publisher of the hardware (or software) for the user as a guide in case they encounter any problems. Take a look for the troubleshooting section for advice specific to certain common problems found in the program or hardware you are using.
2. Company homepages & websites. If you continue to have issues with any aspect of IT whether it is the latest software program or a new monitor you have purchased, its a good idea to look at the company who made the products website or homepage.
Most (if not all) manufacturer's hold back a piece of cyberspace and commit it to support the goods that they make. Microsoft's help desk is good instance.
3. Take a look out for specific fan made websites. These can be a good resource if your issue is extremely specific. There may have been an avid fan that has created a webpage for the sole purpose of them being the online authority on the subject.
These sites have no connection with the makers that they support! Call them what you will, but their free help is beyond measure and without it, we wouldn't have some of the astonishing workarounds and exclusive problem solving techniques that we have nowadays.
4. Look for discussion forums & newsgroups. These areas of the web can be fantastic for getting an answer to a question quickly. You will find that nearly every area of IT has its own forums whether it is brands to the actual technology itself.
Sometimes, the representatives of these businesses partake, but most of the time, the support in this grouping is user to user, which is just as compelling because you're working with a team of skilled people.
5. PC support groups or user groups are an alternative decision for help. These are groups that meet in libraries, computer stores, or other local areas and they chat about all sorts of issues connected with a specific product.
Even if you don't actually have a computer problem, these get together can be a fun way of learning more about a topic as well as meeting new people.
You will hopefully realise that by now it is quite easy to find the answer to what you are looking for, the hard part was just locating these resources in the first place but now that you know them there should be nothing stopping you from being the next IT whiz kid.
