What use will you new computer be for? Do you need factory install Microsoft Office, or an upgrade to Microsoft Office Small Business Edition software upgrade. The basic edition is usually included in purchase. If you expect light use, for example browsing, chatting and email, you will be able to get a low-priced package deal. For gaming capabilities, your requirements and price will increase radically.

One convenience you may not think of is usb ports on the front of the computer for easy access. Also, make sure there are as many or more than you need. Choose a hard drive that will allow you to perform functions you want, such as burning Blu-ray discs and viewing HD videos.

A dual core processor is sufficient for most computer uses. If you are a gamer, you will want a quad system. Graphics cards are installed at the factory. However, your motherboard should have one slot open in case you want to add a new graphics card later on.

After shopping around you may find the perfect desktop pc for your needs. If all the features you plan to buy are included, you could be tempted to wait for it to go on sale. It isn't a good idea to do so if there is a possibility of it selling out before going on sale.
